Enhancing your SoundClick page is easier than some people make it to be. In just a couple steps, I will help you enhance your SoundClick. For curious folks who do not know what SoundClick is, you can find out about it here.
I assume that by reading this article, you have registered with SoundClick, found out SoundClick’s pros and cons and you are really sure that SoundClick is the right platform for you to sell your beats on. Now, here are tips on how to enhance your SoundClick:
1. Buy SoundClick’s VIP. (Optional)
This is optional, because you can sell beats on SoundClick without using VIP. The downfall, however, is that your SoundClick account will not look professional enough and being professional is very important when it comes to maintaining the look of your brand.
SoundClick VIP usually costs $9.95 a month through your Paypal account or your debit/credit card. To purchase SoundClick VIP… (More info coming soon).
2. Get a trusted marketing platform. (Required)
How are you supposed to sell beats without a trusted marketing platform? There are many marketing platforms you can use such as Google Checkout, Amazon Payments & a list of other services. However, a popular marketing platform that most music producers on SoundClick use is Paypal.
Paypal is great, because your clients do not need a Paypal account and can virtually use any debit/credit card to purchase your products. From my personal experience with Paypal, it has it’s flaws, but for the most part, it is a solid system when it comes to buying and selling goods. Nevertheless, If you ever decide to use Paypal, I suggest you either look into making Paypal buttons, (so you can customize the prices of your products and manually sell beats right off your SoundClick,) or you either invest in an instant beat selling store such as Zinsta or myFlashStore to automate your beat sales. (Conversely, who says you can’t try both ways?)
Personally, I believe it would be more convenient to invest in an instant beat selling store, because an instant beat selling store does the work of selling beats for you and saves you time and energy. An artist can also record to their purchased track right away without having to harass you to send them an email of a track they have been impatiently waiting for.
Yet, it is your call to make. Try out your options and see which ones work best for you.
3. Buy a domain name. (Optional)
Again, this is optional. However, buying a domain name can increase the professional level of your brand.
I highly recommend you use coupon codes to purchase a domain name if the service you are using offers it. You can find coupon codes simply by typing in the name of the domain name service you’re using and putting “coupon codes” next to it on google or your favorite search engine. (Example: type “name.com coupon codes” on google.)
You can name your domain name anything you want, but I recommend you use titles like “yourname.com” or catchy names such as “buybeats.com.” After you have ordered your domain name, you can attach your domain name to your SoundClick through a process called “URL forwarding.”
If you are already skilled in graphics and design, why not design your own SoundClick layout? There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube that can help you create the design you’re looking for. If you do not know how to use graphic and design techniques, that is ok, also. There are plenty of services that can design one for you. Services like the Maximlian Media Group, This Iz Hot, DopeGFX to name a few. Personally, I have used Maxmilian Media Group and have not had many problems with them.
It is not necessary to buy a SoundClick layout since purchasing VIP already comes with one, but if you’re interested in a better looking page that can potentially attract more clients and have people have a better feel of your brand, I suggest you buy or make your own SoundClick layout.
5. Buy SoundClick promotion. (Optional)
Personally, I have no experience with this. I have never bought SoundClick promotion or any form of promotion in my life, but I can tell you that many of the people that bought SoundClick’s promotion came back with positive reviews. Top music producers on SoundClick recommend it, so if you have the money, I highly recommend you buy it and test it out for yourself. From what I hear, you will not regret it.
The whole point of SoundClick’s promotion is to launch your music to the thousands of people that visit SoundClick daily. The more people visit your SoundClick, the more likely you are to make a sale, get notice and gain fans.
6. Promote on your own. (Required)
This is what I do, personally. Before having a SoundClick, I ran a YouTube channel that I was able to get to 2,600 subscribers. Because of this, I directed the traffic from my YouTube to my SoundClick and was able to get more fans, notice and sales. I recommend you do something similar: Find a social or entertainment network, increase your “subscribers,” “followers,” “likes” and etc. Then, promote your content to that crowd.
From all the options I named, I believe promoting yourself is the hardest one, but that does not mean that it cannot be done. You need perseverance, determination, patience and an ambitious soul to get things going. I hope these tips were able to help you enhance your SoundClick for the best. Write in the comments some more tips! God bless and…
Keep it 100.
