Steinberg hub is a digital dashboard containing the ultimate resource center for active producers and engineers of all experience levels who want to bring the most of their audio sessions. Apparently designed to help producers to become efficient with Steinberg’s software platforms, Steinberg hub keep users in the loop latest updates. The dashboard allows users to easily read updates via it’s News and Tutorial section, along with a Projects area for quick starting pro audio sessions for music production, mixing, mastering and more from; all in one place. Stienberg hub cleverly provides users with a central location where information can be accessed. Steinberg hub also provides links to their user forums, downloads and knowledge base; making it easy to get answers when needed.
Steinberg is the creators of amoung the most powerful audio recording software platforms, great sounding virtual instruments, and industry standard plugins. Their products are designed for all users, from beginner to expert, and often used in many studio workstations as primary tools for creating, recording, mixing and mastering a lot of the songs we hear every day.
Cubase 7 has been on my Guitar Center wish list for a long time now, and as a result of receiving the Redbox eLicenser, it was my first download. The 4.9GB download seemed to take forever even though the wait was only fifteen minutes to completion. The eLicenser activated Cubase 7 upon completion it’s download, the software was launched and Steinberg hub dashboard appeared on my screen. Steinberg hub is a dashboard that’s used to quick start projects, as well as gets critical news and updates for users before starting or after starting new projects. My first thought was, “Oh wow, this is useful!” On the left side of the Steinberg hub digital dashboard, an internet connection was established automatically upon launch. Once the internet connection was made, a display of Steinberg’s latest news updates and tutorials were laid out for me in an instant. News and tutorials link users to key areas on Steinberg’s website to help with using their products. The right hand side, dashboard users have default project templates for creating sessions instantaneously. Upon opening the default templates, all of the needed tracks and mixer settings are automatically set up and ready to go.
Once opening Cubase 7, the hub allowed for quick and easy access to project templates, news updates, Steinberg’s latest tutorials and more. Their basic templates are titled Blues Rock Production, Classic Rock Production, Dance Production, Electro Production, Hip Hop Production, Jazz Production, Metal Production, Podcast Production, Pop Production and RnB Production. Users have the capability of naming new sessions and choosing a default location on their computers or hard drive for automatically creating new project file folders. Each folder contains the folders and files for newly created sessions. For more versatility, users can also choose for a window prompt for file locations every time sessions are started.
