It seems inevitable nowadays that major artists must face the unavoidable album leak. Jay-Z and Kanye West narrowly averted a massive leak with their Watch The Throne album because of their anti-piracy methods. However, Lil Wayne‘s The Carter IV was not so fortunate. It is now apparent that Drake’s Take Care album has fallen into the arms of downloaders online as well.
Drake recently tweeted from his twitter account, “I am not sure if the album leaked. But if it did thank god it doesn’t happen a month early anymore.”
In another tweet he stated, “Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it…and take care until next time.”
The “Headlines” emcee looks to have greater success than his debut release, Thank Me Later, and avoid the “sophomore slump” that many recording artists go through. With beats from producers like T-minus, Boi1da, and Noah “40” Shebib, let’s hope that Take Care takes care of Drake in the album sales department.
